The Power of LOVE

Yesterday, I read these very beautiful verses from the Bible about LOVE which is also one of my favorite scriptures from the Bible. Nicholas Sparks also mentioned these verses in one of his books, A Walk To Remember. And LOVE suppose to define in such a beautiful way;

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

-1 Corinthians 13:4-7, NIV version."

or a more simplify version;

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.

It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.

It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

These beautiful verses about LOVE speaks for anybody; family members, husband and wife, parent and children, siblings, friends, etc. It is also speaks for God's unconditional love for everyone of us! 

Sadly, many people in this world make their own definition of love base on their own understanding, feeling and desire. As the result, so many people suffered because of love, especially the selfish kind of love, with hurts and heartbroken. I like this song, sang by The Corrs but I find it quite sad that love is defined in such a way;

"Love breaks and love divides,

Love laughs and love can make you cry,

That love can give,

And love can take away.

Love is something very beautiful, it is something more than feeling! It is definitely something beyond our understanding! It also don't define by our own selfish desire. And of course, it is also more than just a love song that you ever heard. So, what is LOVE again?

Blessed New Year!

I'm Not A Reader...

I am not a reader but I do read sometimes. These are favorite books; "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, "A Walk to Remember" by Nicholas Sparks and "The Wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum.

Last week, one of my colleagues loaned me a Malay novel to read and I quite like it. The title of of the novel is "Andai Itu TakdirNya" (in English, 'Assuming That's The Fate') by Siti Rosmizah. The story started with many bitterness that can cause the reader so much heartache when reading it. Some of the readers told that me that they cried and basically for myself, I didn't cry but I felt the pain that comes from the main character in the story especially all the hardship that she went through in the beginning of the story. But I am so glad that the story ends well. This novel is very interesting too because there are so many climaxes, one after another until the final two chapters.

Seriously, I can never finish reading a book in a short period time. But this novel is so interesting until I finished reading it in 3 days.

I shall try to read more, so that I can share my opinion about the particular book in my blog. Well, as an encouragement for myself, I just created a new label, 'The Book That I Read'! Prayerfully, more and more of my post will fall into this label. God bless! Cheerio!
